Match Highlights | Claverdon 12–28 Birmingham & Solihull Birmingham & Solihull returned to winning ways on Saturday with a hard-fought 28–12 victory away at Claverdon RFC, securing all five available league points in challenging conditions. Following the previous weekend's defeat at Woodrush, the Bees travelled to Claverdon looking for a positive response and an opportunity to rediscover the momentum established during their opening three victories of the campaign. However, the weather ensured this would be a very different challenge. Persistent rain made conditions difficult for both sides, turning the encounter into a physical arm wrestle where territory, possession and the work of the forwards became particularly important. It was a day that demanded patience, discipline and a willingness to do the hard work. The Bees rose to that challenge, battling through the conditions to cross the try line four times and secure the bonus point alongside the victory. Claverdon provided determined opposition throughout, but Birmingham & Solihull ultimately came away with a 28–12 win, ensuring they maximised their return from a difficult afternoon on the road. While the conditions may not have suited expansive attacking rugby, the ability to adapt and secure maximum league points was an important response following the previous week's disappointment. With four victories from the opening five league fixtures, the Bees will now look to build on that performance as the campaign continues. Watch the highlights from our victory at Claverdon below.
