The home side struggled to find any fluency in their play throughout the game. With 80% possession they weren't able to turn it into a victory. With a number of key players missing Bees still won enough ball but squandered chances through poor decision making at crucial moments.
After 25 minutes of pressure and plentiful ball the closest Bees came to scoring was a missed penalty. Number 8 Simon Ridler was having a fine game in the loose play but it was Evesham who proceeded to score the first try from their North Midlands centre who broke three tackles to cross for an un converted try.
After stern words from the coaches the second half started brightly for the home side with a strike against the head in the scrum from hooker Sam Covill and a simple backs move down the line for wing Charlie Truepenny to cross the line. The conversion was missed. Also having a fine game Covill was himself unlucky to have a try disallowed, that seemed quite harsh.
Then another fine move from Bees saw Josh Hunt cross for another unconverted try and just when victory seemed certain Evesham scored after a series of drives to tie the game at 10-10
