Early pressure from Bees led to a 6-0 lead with two long range penalties for wing Matthew Dight. Minutes later clever work from centre Mike Thomas produced a kick through that Dight won the chase for, touching down under the posts for a try he also converted.
Great defensive work from Josh Wardle and Dan Bagby created more opportunities for the Bees backs to break through, this time Dight appeared from the blind side to off load to Thomas who scored in the corner.
With the conversion missed the score stood at 18-0. Sils then got off the mark with a penalty of their own. Just before the break the home side went down to 14 men with prop Mason Dhani-Ali 'team' yellow carded for offside.
At the restart Sils began to exert pressure and they started to get their strong running backs into the game and scored an early try to make it 18-8. With errors at the base of the scrum the home side began to get rattled with the visitors turning the ball over repeatedly and gaining another try through the middle of a ruck to trail just 18-15.
Bees re grouped with some fine work from prop Jamie Watson, who took the ball to their opponents setting up a scrum 15 metres out, allowing no 8 Billy Castle to pick up and go over for an unconverted try.
The remainder of the game saw both sides have opportunities but with no further scores it remained 23-15 to Bees
