In a keenly contested encounter in front of a large crowd it was the visitors who finished the stronger to record their first win of the season. The first half was an end to end affair with the home side scoring after 10 minutes when centre Owen Walker raced away from half way after a poor clearance kick from Sils. The conversion was missed. The visitors responded minutes later with a converted try after some poor tackling. Going behind seemed to fire up the Bees pack as a number of chances were created but poor decision making and a lack of clinical finishing saw the chances wasted. However in the final play of the half stand off Josh Hunt chipped ahead and chased to score under the posts. He also added the extras.
On 44 minutes Bees extended their lead with a fine move involving centre Hari Ladwa, who created space for wing Finn Suttie to race up field, off loading to full back Jack Fitzgerald who crossed for a try converted by Hunt. Sils response was two penalties in quick succession. With just 8 minutes remaining Bees secured a bonus point with a second try for Fitzgerald after a fine backs move, to lead 22-13. The visitors then began to exert a lot of pressure through some of their big forwards who were making good yards allowing their backs to score a converted try. At this point the home side failed to keep the ball well enough and even though they threatened the Sils line in the dying minutes a turn over led to the visitors breaking away and with Bees conceding penalties the resulting pressure saw Sils have the final say with a converted try.
