Having trailed 12-0 after 33 minutes a spirited comeback put Bees 14-12 ahead with just 5 minutes left at Sils but it Sils who had the final say.
Bees started well with some clever kicking to the corners applying pressure to the home team. However a lucky bounce from one of the kicks allowed a counter attack from Sils that led to their first unconverted try after 12 minutes. Bees applied lots of pressure, with fly half
Patrick Lindsay making a 50 metre break but lacked close support. The visitors seemed to be suffering from white line fever making
too many basic errors. Just before the break a fine three quarter move from Sils saw the Bees defence lack line speed, sitting back and allowing their winger go over for a converted try.
After the break Bees began to build some phases into their attack with forwards Wasim Alkahlout, Mason Dhani-Ali and Jack Allen making inroads through the Sils defence, leading to their first try, from Allen after wing Tom Cooper made a break down the flank. Josh Hunt
added a fine conversion from out wide.A fine hand off and break took Bees hooker Alex Lowe through the middle and a try looked on but Sils were able to chase back and prevent the score
On 65 minutes it was Allen again who broke through, was held just short and Dhani-Ali followed up to touch down. Hunt converted to make it 14-12. After the restart Sils gained possession but knocked on and with no clear advantage gained Bees were penalised for offside. In their bemusement, Sils tapped quickly to score in the corner to take the game, much to Bees disappointment.
