Bees started slowly again and went 14-0 down after 12 minutes against an enthusiastic Burntwood side. Simple mistakes allowed the home side to score two similar tries from close range. The next 20 minutes saw the visitors battle back and have the confidence to use their backs but whenever a score seemed imminent errors occurred, giving their opponents a chance to clear.
After the break Bees started to up their aggression in the forwards and a series of drives took them close and from the resulting quick ball centre Jacob Lisle went over in the corner. The conversion was missed. From the restart Bees looked to attack again but a long wayward pass gave Burntwood the initiative as they then camped on the visitors line for 5 minutes. Heroic tackling kept them out but Bees eventually cracked giving their opponents the final unconverted try of the game
