Onto the final though

Brief and late report for today. Weather too nice not to enjoy it.
Bees started well today putting in a good solid shift for most of the first half. Controlling possession while playing with the wind. Lewis B going over from a 5m scrum on 6 minutes.
Pressure maintained on Ledbury with territory rewarded with Bees securing possession from the lineout with Noah running a loop with Tom J to create and then exploit a gap. Score converted by Noah for 12-0 on 12 minutes.
Good control continuing with good defence holding Ledbury at bay. Bees opt to run a penalty from midfield with ground made before Corry goes on a charge from 10m out before releasing Cole to score. Converted for 19-0 on 17 minutes.
Ledbury were starting to get some territory now but Bees always keeping them out of their 22. A couple of plays later and a penalty from a lineout is run and Lewis B goes over for a second, also converted. 27 minutes in for 26-0.
A steady early performance started to come undone from this point with the first pressure applied by Ledbury in Bees 22. A couple of penalties sees them 5m out. Static play and out to a first up runner going over almost unopposed. converted on 31 minutes for 21-7.
Bees closed out the half with a further score with Bees quickly running a penalty for Will L to go over for a converted score 33-7.
On another day Bees would have maintained focus and closed out the opposition for the half but today was a little different and the those little details just make the game harder. Also I didn't note the time but Ledbury played out a lot of the half with only 14.
Early pressure in Bees 22 sees Ollie seeing yellow but Bees manage to clear. With 14 each Bees opened the door a little wider for Ledbury. Initial pressure not rewarded for Ledbury. Bees clear their lines well and further exchanges see Ledbury clear out of their half to Lewis G to go on a storming run for possibly the best score of the game. Converted for 40-7 44 minutes in.
Back to a 15v14 game. Bees gave away a lot of penalties today an these continued giving Ledbury easy yards up to Bees 22 for a lineout. Further penalty from Bees sees Ledbury run quickly and going through and over with many a Bees player with his back to the ball.
Bees secure two further scores with Noah going through a gap and Lewis B getting his hat trick with a run from half way. Ledbury closing it out with their own score from a spilled ball in midfield with their centre out pacing the defence for a final score of 52-19.
Well we are there again but far more to work on than this time last year. Ledbury were well up for it today and Bees let them in. For me too little communication led to lots of penalties particularly for offsides. That extra focus coughing up two tries that could at the very least been much harder earned.
More focus, communication and those little tweaks that makes a good team a great one will be needed for the final. Maybe it's a teenage thing of the it will be OK, yes I'll do it and so on but much hair is being lost by parents and coaches! Sounds strange with a good win on the scoreboard but most of the game was against 14 so credit Ledbury.
This team has created very high expectations and nothing has been won yet this season.
