The boys and girls were hoping to turn the tide against a well organised and strong side from Claverdon who had beaten us convincingly last season.
A good turn out from the Bees on home turf saw the Bees off to a good start. Bees showed good strength, tackles and runs and kept the pressure on but Claverdon snuck a try just before half time.
The second half the Bees came back and Sam scored the first try with an excellent run. Ollie was next up to make a run and scored the second.
Spirits were high and the competition heated up as did the aggression of the Claverdon team as they hit back to try and regain control. Will Webb scored the winning try just before the final whistle resulting in a pleasing and hard fought 3-1 win to Bees.
The second game looked like a different squad as possession and the game were dominated by Claverdon in the first half resulting in 4 tries.
The second half saw Roman get injured and Claverdon still the stronger side with possession. Bees failed to pass and ran behind players leaving the team off side to Claverdons advantage scoring an additional two tries leaving the final score 6-0.
