We are looking for an enthusiastic and committed professional to join our performance team. This an ideal opportunity for a recently qualified physio or sports therapist who wishes to gain experience in working with a sports team although applications are not limited to this group. They will be working as part of performance team that includes rugby coaches, strength and conditioning coaches, a club doctor and a sports masseuse. The successful candidate will diagnose, treat and manage the rehabilitation process of injured players and advise on injury prevention.

The role will require the successful individual to attend training sessions on 2 weekday evenings and on match days, home and away, where pitchside care and first aid is to be provided when needed during the season and pre-season

The successful candidate will
Have completed BSc in Physiotherapy, Sports Therapy or a relevant degree.
Be registered with the CSP and HCPC (Physiotherapists).
Have a keen interest to work in a sporting environment.
Be able to work well within a team made up of rugby coaches, strength and conditioning coaches and other medical practitioners.
Be reliable and committed to working hours that meet the club’s needs.

Tasks and Responsibilities:

To lead the treatment and rehabilitation programmes for club players two evenings a week.
Provide pitch side first aid cover for all matches during the season and pre-season.
Maintain high quality records.
To work closely with the performance team to keep them fully informed on the treatments, rehabilitation programmes and fitness of players.
To analyse and review the treatment and management of injury programmes on a regular basis in order to meet specific player and squad needs.
Attend Performance Team Meetings as scheduled
