Bees predominantly young under 17 colts put in a battling performance against an older colts opposition, defending quite heroically throughout. Having fought back from 26-5 to 26-21 with two tries in a 5 minute period late on, it proved not enough as Woodrush had the last say in the final play with an unconverted try. In fact all Bees three tries came from well worked attacking moves, the first from wing Bailey Johnston, in the first half and a brace from back row James Reilly in the second period. However the opposition scored three of their 5 tries when Bees initially had the ball. Mistakes were made and Woodrush punished the visitors errors, giving Bees plenty to work on in training this week.
