Birmingham & Solihull RFC return to league action this weekend with a rearranged Counties 2 Midlands West (East) fixture at Portway, as they welcome Barkers Butts RFC, the current league leaders.
Following disappointment in the Community Cup away at Clee Hill, attention has quickly shifted back to the league campaign. The focus within the group has been on response — recognising that setbacks are part of the season, and that what matters most is how the team reacts.
Saturday’s fixture presents a significant challenge, with Barkers Butts arriving at Portway in strong form at the top of the table. For the Bees, it offers an immediate opportunity to test themselves against the league’s benchmark and to demonstrate the character and competitiveness that has underpinned their season so far.
The squad will be looking to deliver a disciplined and committed performance in front of the home support, as the second half of the season continues to take shape.
Kick-off: 2:15pm
Date: Saturday 7th February
Venue: Birmingham & Solihull RFC, Forshaw Heath Lane, Portway, B94 5LH
Supporters are encouraged to come down and get behind the team as the Bees look to respond and refocus in league action.
