As a performance team, we are actively reviewing the landscape of our pre-season fixtures. Due to the ongoing weather conditions, the pitches are currently not in a state where we, as a group, deem them safe to play on.

Our pre-season preparation is progressing well, but we have increasingly limited our contact training because the ground is too hard to safely take repeated high-intensity impacts. For the safety of our playing group ahead of what will be an extremely physically demanding season, we deem the risk too high at this current point.

As a result of this decision, the team has withdrawn from this weekend’s (8th August) Old Yards tournament. A further review will take place next week ahead of our currently proposed home pre-season fixture vs. Vesyans (15th August).
