Professor Heward conducts a comeback

Bright but breezy morning for the trip over to Bournville.
Bees start and for the first 6 minutes saw the ball once!. Bournville collected the restart and made steady and controlled progress up and into the Bees 22. Bees successfully clear their lines on the first real threat but not the second. 5-0
The game settles into more of a contest with Bees gaining parity at the breakdown and the odd turnover exchanged. Bees threatened first making headway into the Bournville 22 and running from a penalty, but are penalised for holding on. Bournville run but knock on after making initial ground and Bees then knock on at the resulting scrum. Bournville secure possession from their scrum and send the ball into Bees 22, Bournville eventually come up with the ball and go over in the corner on 16 minutes for their second score. 10-0
Bees restart and Bournville knock on and recover the ball from an offside position. Bees kick to touch. Bees secure possession from the line out and kick. From the return Bournville attack initially to the one side and then on the next attack find a gap out wide to exploit and go through for a third score. 15-0 18 minutes in.
Bees restart and a couple of phases later Bees make changes at 8/9/10 with Kamil, Ben and Noah coming on for Will L, Ben and Tom J.
Good honest competition follows and Bees start to gain a bit more parity and start playing themselves back into the game. Efforts rewarded with the penultimate play of the half with Bees running a penalty an Noah breaking to score in the corner. Conversion shaving the wrong side of the post for 15-5 on 29 minutes effectively finishing the first half action.
Bournville start the second half with Noah initially running into space before chipping the rush defence. Fingertip control to gather the bouncing ball and make further yards before offloading to Ivor whose supporting line sees him down the wing and round and under the posts. Noah converts for 15-12 on 31 minutes.
Bournville restart long and Bees touchdown for a 22. The contest continues with Bees starting to exert a bit more control and any missed tackle count falling. Bees also start to edge the territory battle. The deadlock broken with Bees earning the next score to edge in front. A Bees scrum in the Bournville 22 sees Noah break the first line of defence and go under the post. Noah then converts for 15-19.
Good contest again follows but Bees have their noses in front and the 50/50's of the first half they were losing they are now starting to win. Bees pressure eventually gives Bournville a defensive lineout in their 22. Bees secure the ball and it is sent out into midfield recycled successfully and then sent out wide to Josh. Plenty left to do but a strong arching run sees him find space out wide and then. Noah converts for 15-26.
First half efforts look as if they are starting to take their toll and the next score is again for Bees with Andy picking up from the base of a ruck and charging down the the blindside to score in the corner on 55 minutes for 15-31.
The games final score coming from Ivor. Bees earn turnover on the 10m line recycling a couple of times edging their way up to the 22 before going wide, recycling and back into midfield for a strong run from Ivor taking him under the posts. Converted by Noah for 15-38 on 58 minutes.
Great efforts from both sides.
