Bees fight back against strong well drilled side.

Just 11 determined Bees players arrived at Walsall. Intimidated by the physical size and number of opposition players they looked sheepish as they took position.

The Bees kicked off and within seconds
Walsall took full advantage as one of their forwards steam rolled his way across the score line.

Bees deflated with a lack of lustre saw Walsall score a second and third all too easily.

A bit of luck for the Bees gave them some space to play a great run from Olli got the team excited as he made good ground, Ewan found the ball and scored a much needed try.
3-1

The home team still strong with good team work and discipline came back to score another.
4-1
Bees loosing heart seemed to step aside and Walsall scored a fifth before the half time whistle.
5-1

A game of two halves the half time pep talk must have reinstalled confidence as the Bees came back more aggressive and organised.

Despite Walsall scoring their 6th within minutes the Bees defended much better and with more confidence.
Olli had another great run, the length of pitch to score his first and a second for the Bees. 6-2

Final score 6-2

Bees supporters were in good voice and the team feeling more confident and able looked ready for the second match.

They played better, feeding off the opposition aggression and frustration Bees communication was improved and defence good. Sam put in some killer tackles, Jo, Ollie and Ewan getting stuck in rewarded with another great try for Olli putting Bees in the lead 1-0.

Spirits high and injury free Bees went into the final half feeling pumped.
They defended well but became complacent and sluggish unable to score another before half time.
1-0 HT

The second half Walsall came back full strength and took an early try. Sam powered on tackling players three times the size of him but the team lost rucks and bad passes, lacking in oomph were unable to secure the win and the final whistle result was 1-1.
