Bees continue to improve with convincing win

A beautiful, sunny, icy morning but the pitch was passed for playing and the Bees team of just 9 were warmed up and raring to go!

The Old Salts looked a scary opposition with a combination of Under 11's and Under 12's , big, strong boys and plenty of them for fresh legs for each match.

MATCH 1
The Bees were not intimidated and from the first whistle Bees dominated the game. A great tackle by Ewan and a strong run from Roman led to a first match try in the first few minutes.
Bees showed good defence. brilliant passing, team play and support meaning they were the stronger team throughout. Superb passes Keru, Lochie to Emma who scored the second.
A third try scored by Will and Roman 4th. 4 - 0 into half time.
Second Half saw the Salts bring on the much bigger, stronger and heavier team, the tactic being strength. The Bees showed no fear and played on their agility and speed and Ewan scored the fifth try.
Despite defending well, a much more even match the Salts dug deep and finally scored a try.
The well disciplined Bees passed down the line from George to Will to Lauren to Roman who scored the 6th. 6 - 1
Just before the final whistle the Salts managed to break free and scored the final try. 6 - 2 Bees Win!

MATCH 2
Despite having no subs/fresh legs the Bees came back confidently and despite the Salts trying hard the Bees scored the first try,
Soon followed by a second by George.
The Salts found a gap and made a strong run to score their first of the game 2 - 1
A well supported Sam scored a 3rd and 4th tries for the Bees and George the 5th.
5 - 1 Bees Win!
The second half despite the bees defending well the Salts got a try. 5 - 2
Feeling the pressure for the first time Ewan managed to kick the ball down the pitch giving space to regain composure and supported well by Emma Sam got over the line to make it 6 - 2.

MATCH 3
A quick, action packed match saw the undefeated Bees show no mercy with Ewan and Roman scoring before the Salts, (although we on the side lines did not think it a try, the ref felt pity on the long suffering away team). George scored the third to finish the match at 3 - 1. Bees win!

An excellent match for players, coaches and spectators alike.
Well done all!
