Regular weekly meeting to help run YOUR club - 7.30pm Thursdays at Portway

It has agreed that a regular Operations Meeting will take place down at the clubhouse at Portway every Thursday evening, starting at 7.30pm.

The first of these meetings will take place tomorrow, Thursday 15th August.

Informal, pragmatic and lasting just one hour, the meeting will look at the jobs in hand to be done and assign tasks to individual volunteers.

The idea of this approach is to share the various jobs around, establish a rota system and to ensure that collectively running the club becomes less of a burden and more fun and fulfilling.

Volunteers aren't expected to attend every week, but the more people that can attend on a Thursday, the more we can share the load and enjoy the camaraderie of our OUR great club. It is open to all sections of the club, so please don't be shy about coming along.

The time slot of a Thursday evening means that you can get to meet our new senior squad as they are put through their paces in training. The bar will also be open, always an added benefit.

Finally, Tim Bennett is putting together a volunteer list so if you would like to help and haven't already offered your services, please email him on timj.bennett@blueyonder.co.uk
