Hornets sting late to steal the win
Late sting in the tail
A young Hornets side travelled to Banbury looking to continue their recent run of results in which they has seen close victories over Burton and Syston respectively. Due to injuries, illness and unavailability the Hornets had to reshuffle their side which saw three back row players move into the backs, in the shape of Jacob Lisle, Jack Bennett and Matt Collier playing at 12, 14 and 15. A close fought first half saw Hornets in the lead. The second half saw Banbury take the lead and take what seemed a comfortable lead. With 15 minutes to go Hornets were down by 15 points to which they then made a remarkable comeback which saw three unanswered tries, with the last one coming in the last play of the game to seal the victory. A well earned victory against a tough Banbury side which will be truly relished.
Tries - Joe Cave (2), Kenan Cooper, Jacob Lisle, Sean O'Sullivan, Chris Thompson.
