Poor Colts run continues
Poor finishing sees another defeat
It was the same old story for Bees at Malvern, unable to finish clinically when close to the line. 7-7 at half time reflected the even contest, a try from close range from captain Tom Rees and a Hari Ladwa conversion, but at the restart two quick tries for the home side after some unusually non existence tackling left Bees chasing the game at 21-7. Opportunities came with fine breaks from backs Hari Ladwa, Charlie Roberts, Ben Cooper, Finn Suttie and Harry Garratt but a lack of support on each occasion led to the initiative returning to Malvern as they added two more tries.
The highlights of the game for Bees were the performance of their forwards, particularly the scrummaging of prop Tom Owen, a real unsung hero! and some superb try saving tackles from full back Ben Cooper against some quite rapid Malvern backs.
