BEES TEAM TO FACE ROTHERHAM

Birmingham & Solihull Rugby Club host Rotherham tonight, Wednesday 2nd February 2011 (KO 7.45pm) at Damson Park, in a re-arranged Championship fixture.

Both Clubs will no doubt be keen to put behind defeats over the weekend them – in Rotherham’s case a narrow 23 –19 away defeat to Esher, with the Bees suffering a heavy 42- 16 defeat at near neighbours Moseley.

Currently in 7th place in the Championship, Rotherham will be looking for a win tonight to put further breathing space between them and Plymouth Albion who are currently in 8th place. For the Bees, a win would not only be an important moral boost, but may also prove important, with one point for every win carried forward to the Relegation Playoff stage of the Championship.

With Bees Director of Rugby Russell Earnshaw away in New Zealand on England Sevens coaching duty, Bees’ Assistant Coach Eugene Martin takes the reins for this game.

The Bees team is as follows: 1.Rob Dugard, 2.Ross McMillan (c), 3.Leo Halavatau, 4.Danny Wright, 5.Adrian Griffiths, 6.Ross Noonan, 7.Mike Denbee, 8.Adam Clayton, 9.Jimmy Williams, 10.Mark Woodrow, 11.Ian Davey, 12.Sam Cox, 13.Rod Petty, 14.Ollie Grove, 15.Ollie Winter,

Replacements: 16.Ngalu Tau, 17.Jack Preece, 18.Joe Reid, 19.Semisi Taulava, 20.Rob Connolly, 21.Will Lawson, 22.Mitch Culpin.

Entry to this evening’s game is just £5, with concessions and children free
