BEES WELCOME SCOTTISH SIDE TO DAMSON PARK IN SECOND B&I CUP GAME
This Sunday (16th January) sees the Bees face Scottish side Ayr in the second game of their British & Irish Cup campaign this season.
Birmingham & Solihull posted their first win in their 2010/11 B&I Cup campaign when they defeated Doncaster Knights in the Championship/Cup “Double Header” at Damson Park last Sunday. Bees’ winger Simon Hunt scored two tries as the home side racked up a bonus point 35-29 against the visitors from Yorkshire.
This week’s visitors are currently in third place in the Scottish Premiership 1 League and lost 33-12 away to Pontypridd in their opening B&I Cup game.
With six teams in each of the four B&I Cup Pools and two teams from each Pool going forward into the knock out stages, the Bees have everything to play for in what is sure to be a typically passionate Anglo-Scottish encounter.
As a special offer, ticket prices have been reduced for Sunday’s game for just £5 for adults, with Concessions and Children free. The game kicks off at Damson Park at 3pm.
Bees’ supporters who do not have season tickets but wish to pre-purchase their tickets for the home Championship game against Worcester Warriors on Saturday 19th February will be able to do so on a ‘first come, first served basis’ at the Ayr game. Demand for tickets for this Championship game will be high and with limited ticket availability, fans are encouraged to secure their tickets as early as possible.
