COUNTY CHAMPIONSHIP RUGBY AT ‘DP’ THIS SATURDAY
Damson Park, the home of Birmingham & Solihull Rugby Club, will play host to County Championship rugby this Saturday (14th May kick off 3pm) as the North Midlands’ RFU County side take on Devon.
The North Midlands side, which is likely to feature a number of Bees players, is playing its second group match in the County Championship Second Division South. A win against Devon this Saturday, hot on the heels of a 22-15 against Somerset at Taunton last week, will guarantee the North Midlands featuring in a promotion final against the winners of the Second Division North.
Speaking ahead of the game, Birmingham & Solihull Rugby Club’s Operations Director Lou Ford said, “We are delighted to be able to host County Championship Rugby at Damson Park. Saturday’s game against Devon promises to be an exciting game with a high standard of rugby, with a number of Bees players old and new likely to feature.
