We are delighted to announce that former Leicester Tigers, England and British Lions full back Tim Stimpson will be guest speaker at the Annual Club Dinner & Awards Evening, which will take place on Friday 17th May at Portway.

During his career, “Stimmo” played for Wakefield, West Hartlepool, Newcastle Falcons, Leicester Tigers, Perpignan, Leeds Tykes and Nottingham, England and the British Lions.

A world class goalkicker, during his five-year spell at Welford Road between 1998–2003, he was an integral part of the dominant Leicester Tigers side that won the league four times in succession to add to back-to-back Heineken Cups, becoming the Premiership’s top points scorer in the process (his points total has now been overtaken by both Jonny Wilkinson and Andy Goode).

Tim Stimpson is a brand Ambassador for main club Sponsor Prime Accountants Group, who have kindly arranged for Tim to speak at the dinner.

Following the success of last year’s event, we will be looking to hold the dinner itself in a marquee, to leave the bar area free for pre and post dinner drinks.

The organisation of the dinner will be co-ordinated by Sarah Gaffney, with input and assistance from various quarters of the Club.
