Pitch is ok but the referee will inspect tomorrow

Saturday's away game up at Sandbach (9th December, KO 2.15pm) remains ON at the moment (as at 19.00 hrs Friday), but is subject to a pitch inspection by referee Carl Adams tomorrow morning at 09.45 hours.

Bees' team manager Rona Higgins has been in contact with our hosts tomorrow and the latest report we have from our friends in Cheshire is that the pitch is ok at the present, although much will depend on overnight temperatures and further snowfall.

We will endeavour to keep supporters updated via the usual channels - Twitter, Facebook and the website as and when we have substantive information.

Assuming that the game goes ahead, Pete Glackin & Stewart Pearl have made minor changes to the squad that defeated Peterborough Lions at Portway last Saturday.

With skipper Jack Jolly unavailable, Jack Secher start comes in at scrum half with Ben Phillips on the bench. Matt Spink and Danny Wright start at lock and blindside flanker respectively, with Ashley Scriven named as a replacement. Nathan Tilsley wears the captain's armband.
