Experienced prop joins from Birmingham Moseley

The Bees have added to their front row options for next season with the signing of Matthew Probert.

Joining from Birmingham Moseley where he was part of their squad last season, the talented prop made 22 appearances for Scunthorpe in 2015/16, the season in which the Lincolnshire side secured promotion to National League 2 North, as league champions.

Weighing in at 134kg and 6’2” tall, Probert will add to the Bees’ front row options as they prepare for the new season.

He won’t have to wait long to get chance to lock horns with his former Scunthorpe team mates, as they are the Bees’ opponents in the first game of the 2017/18 Midlands Premier campaign at Portway on Saturday 2nd September.

“I’m delighted to have added Matt to our squad for the new season” said Bees Head of Rugby, Pete Glackin. “With the signatures of Kurtis Payne, Zane Raimondi, Joe Foreman, Pete Koziot, George Radburn and Harry Smith already secured, Matt will have plenty of support in the front row union.”
