Good cup run hoped for

The club has once again entered in to the Papa John Cup at the Counties 2 level. At each level, the competition is divided in to Championship, Plate and Shield and a team’s league position at 16th December 2023 determines which competition they play in. This season we are in Counties 2 North Plate competition. We had a bye in the 1st round and have been drawn away to Rushden & Higham RFC in the 2nd round, to be played on 20th April. Rushden & Higham currently lie 5th in Counties 2 Midlands East (South) and it should be a keenly contested game.

If we are successful in that game, the quarter final will be a home tie against the winners of the game between St Ives (Midlands) and St Neots on 27th April.

The final will be played at Darlington Mowden Park (yes I know!) on 11th May.
