As part of the Club’s Development Plan, a Steering Group chaired by Jeremy Smith is currently working on proposals to migrate the current set up of Birmingham & Solihull Rugby Club into a membership-based club.

The Steering Group’s terms of reference are as follows;-

• Set out detailed proposals for a new legal entity into which the current operations of Birmingham & Solihull Rugby Club Limited (B&SRCL) - including those of the Age Grade section - can be transferred into, to be set up by 1st May 2018

• Set out a new organisational structure, with clearly defined roles and responsibilities and duly appointed or elected personnel, for this new legal entity to become fully operational from 1st July 2018

• Put in place a viable three-year financial plan for the new entity (from 1st July 2018 – 30th June 2021), with clearly identified funding requirements

• Working with the current management team of B&SRCL, agree and execute a plan to manage the transition between the current and new entity, ensuring all aspects of the rugby club continues to be managed in a professional manner during this period

Following a meeting of this group held last week, the Club is planning to hold an update meeting on Sunday 15th April. Starting a 1pm after the Age Grade rugby has concluded that morning, the Club will present details of its proposals for taking the Club forward from 1st July onwards and the related transitionary arrangements.
