Cup draw and Hornets fixtures also now live on website

The Bees will play local side Camp Hill RUFC at Portway in the Quarter Finals of the North Midlands Cup on Saturday 7th October on Saturday 7th October, KO 2.30pm.

Winners in the 2015/16 season, the Bees were disappointingly beaten in the semi-finals of the NMC last season by Bournville, who went on to win the cup themselves.

With a number of the current Bees squad previously playing for the Haslucks Green Road side, a mouth-watering cup game in front of a healthy crowd is in prospect.

As well as all the Bees fixtures now being live on the website, the Hornets fixtures have also been confirmed for the new season.

The Club’s second senior side will play a total of 22 fixtures – 10 away and 12 at home – across the season. Kicking off on Saturday 2nd September (Syston 2’s away), the Hornets will play second teams from Syston, Towcestrians, Hinckley, Derby, Burton, Banbury, Newbold on Avon, Newport Salop, Nuneaton and Old Halesonians home and away. They will also play Luctonians twice – both at Portway.

Home games will, on all occasion bar one, be played when the Bees are away, which means that there will be rugby at Portway for 25 Saturdays September through to April.
