Bees finally face Newport Salop in final game of the season

The Bees will complete their season with the visit of Newport Salop to Portway this weekend (Saturday 28th April, KO 3pm).

The game, which has been twice postponed - firstly due to a frozen pitch back in February and again in March, when the Newport Salop captain deemed the Portway pitch unplayable – will bring the curtain down on a season which has seen the Bees crowned as league champions and Newport Salop finishing in third spot, irrespective of the result from Saturday’s game.

The Bees squad is somewhat depleted by injuries and unavailability’s – not just after last week’s hard-fought victory up at Scunthorpe, but also after a season that started a full seven months ago. However, a side that has immense pride in the shirt and that has only been defeated twice all season will be keen to sign off their Midland Premier Division account with another “w” in the ledger.

Entry to the game will be free, with the April 200 Club draw also made in the bar afterwards.

Bees squad v Newport Salop (H, 3pm KO): - 1. Joe Foreman, 2. Zane Raimondi, 3. Matt Probert, 4. Keenan Cooper, 5. Harry Barnes, 6. Ashley Scriven, 7. Marcus Brown, 8. Umraan Jadwat, 9.
