Bees face Bristol based opposition on successive weekends, this time in the form of Dings Crusaders RFC

Bees will be looking to build on last Saturday's bonus point win over Old Redcliffians, when they travel to Dings Crusaders RFC, their shortest road trip, but one, of the season. Whilst Bees can be well pleased with their clinical finishing against Old Reds, scoring 6 converted tries, they will be keen, after conceding a couple of late tries which enabled Old Reds to secure both losing and try bonus points, to return to their normal watertight defence against a powerful Dings side.

Of the teams in Nat 2 South, Dings are probably best known to Bees as they have been frequent pre season opponents over recent years. However, this time Bees will be playing at Dings new Shaftsbury Park ground in Frenchay, which has a capacity of 2,250 and provides seating for 250. It also features a 4G Artificial Grass Pitch, the only one Bees are likely to encounter in Nat 2 South this season.

Dings won the South West Premier Division last season, winning 20 and losing 6 of their 26 fixtures, in the process accruing 100 points. This season they have experienced a 17-25 home defeat against Redruth, before bouncing back with a 17-11 win at near neighbours Clifton last weekend. Their full back and backs coach is former Plymouth, Bristol and Bath player Luke Arscott.

With regard to team news, Bees welcome back hooker, Dale Garner. In the backs, Corey Venus replaces the injured Harry O'Brien at full back, with Jevon Hinds filling the No. 14 shirt.

Meanwhile, the Hornets start their home campaign in the Midlands Reserve League with a fixture against Nuneaton RFC (3.00pm, KO).
