Playing his club rugby for Birmingham RFC., his involvement with Solihull started as a Mini & Junior rugby coach in the mid 70’s through to the Colts for seasons 79/80 & 80/81.

He then became Chairman of the Mini & Junior section in seasons 82/83 & 83/84, when he also sat on the club’s main committee.

Brian was a Vice-President from 1981 and was a regular visitor to Sharmans Cross Road as a Thursday night social member and an enthusiastic supporter on match days.

He was given the honour of Club President of Birmingham & Solihull for the season 91/92.

He remained as an active member of the Club Committee and took on the role of Chairman of Rugby (Administration) from 1992 to 1996.

We understand that the funeral will be held at 2pm this Thursday, 22nd November, at Robin Hood Crematorium.
