The Bees will travel to Midlands 2 side Rugby Lions on Saturday 6th August, before travelling down the M40 motorway the following Saturday, 13th August, to face Midlands 1 outfit Banbury.

Their third and final warm up game will be at home against Stourbridge on Saturday 20th August. All three games are scheduled as 3pm kick offs.

Both Rugby Lions RFC and Banbury RFC have been promoted from their perspective leagues at the end of last season and are both emerging clubs.

The fixture against Rugby Lions, to be played at Webb Ellis Road, will also serve as a memorial match for the late Rob Walton, who played for both clubs.

Stourbridge, who finished in fourth place in National League 2 last season, will provide an equally thorough examination for the Bees on home turf in the third and final warm up game. Their squad will no doubt feature a number of familiar faces too.

Meanwhile, the publication of the 2016/17 National 3 Midlands League fixtures has been delayed by a week, pending an appeal by Bromsgrove on their proposed level transfer to National 3 South West. Once confirmed, fixtures will be posted on the website.
