M&J - Match Reports 2011-12

U11's winners of Sils Festival 2011

The first competitive game of the season for the Bees U11s was against Stratford, and the Bees wasted no time in getting into their stride winning comfortably 25-0.
Next up were the Sills, the boys new this would be a much harder game but they all raised there game. The forwards work rate was excellent as they kept winning possession for the backs, who ran the ball every time scoring 4 try's to make it a 20-0 victory.
The final pool game was against Sutton, and because of the other results the Bees knew they had already qualified for the next round so fielded a mixed up side. Sutton were proving they was no walk over especially up front, but the boys did enough to secure the win with just one try 5-0 the Bees.
Semi final against a big Worcester side. The lads knew if they could compete up front and win some ball we would do well. The Bees scrum was solid and we even took a few against the head, Rhys was winning all the line out ball which gave our backs the platform they needed. Noah and Ben scoring one try each, Nathan getting two. But Worcester was still in the game there forwards refused to give up and they scored three tries themselves, but they made the mistake of kicking and fullback Ivor just kept running it straight back at them resulting in him getting three tries. Final score Bees 35 Worcester 15.
A final against Bromsgrove and within the first minute Bees were 5-0 up thanks to Ben. Bees kept up the pressure and Bromsgrove struggled to get out of there own half unless they kicked, but the Bess were in full flow, forwards and back alike just attacking the Bromsgrove defence and it paid off, prop Andrew going over for a try and centre Nathan also scoring one. Bromsgrove did get a consolation try but it was to late. Bees winners 15-5
