BEES TRIO IN COUNTIES SQUAD (May 22 2007)
Three Pertemps Bees players have been selected to tour Russia with the England
Counties XV next month.
Lock Alex Davidson will be joined by his new second row partner Dave Campton,
a recent recruit from Coventry, and scrum-half Paul Knight who has rejoined Pertemps
Bees for next season after a season with Moseley.
Davidson secured his place after he recovered from a foot injury in time to play
for North Midlands in their final County Championship Bill Beaumont Cup match
against Cheshire last Saturday.
Knight has been captaining Gloucestershire in the Bill Beaumont Cup and Campton
has helped Warwickshire reach the final of the County Shield where they will play
Somerset at Coventry next Sunday May 27.
The Counties XV also includes former Pertemps Bees fly-half Mark Woodrow, who
now plays his club rugby with Doncaster and his county rugby for Gloucestershire,
and hooker Liam Wordley (Henley and Staffordshire) who played for Pertemps Bees
last season.
England Counties will play three matches including a game against the Russia national
side on June 16.
