Simon Martin will have the honour of captaining Pertemps Bees on his farewell
appearance for the club against Nottingham at Sharmans Cross Road on Saturday
April 28 (3pm)
The former Bristol and Coventry player is in his third season with Pertemps
Bees but he has declined the offer of a new contract to take up a new job as
player/coach of Taunton next season.
Martin will lead out Pertemps Bees in what is likely to be an emotional day
for him and there will also be farewells for Fijian international flanker Akapusi
Qera, who is set to join Gloucester, full-back Matt Nuthall, who is to join
Neath, and centre Tristan Davies, who is expected to sign for Cardiff.
Lock Alex Davidson will have a fitness test tonight on the foot injury he sustained
in the first half of last Sunday's defeat at Cornish Pirates.
If Davidson is not fit it is likely that former Ireland Under-21 international
Dan Tuohy will partner Mark Gabey in the second row.
