LONG DOUBT FOR PIRATES TRIP (April 18 2007)
Pertemps
Bees prop Matt Long is doubtful for the National League One game against Cornish
Pirates at Camborne on Sunday April 22.
Long needed to be replaced during last Saturday's heavy defeat at Newbury because
of a calf injury and he was one of 13 players who required treatment at last
night's training session.
Long, who has been one of Pertemps Bees' most consistent performers in the second
half of the season, will have a final test at tomorrow's training session before
the team for the trip to Cornwall is finalised.
Centre Adam Billig is also a doubt for the Pirates game because his wife is
due to give birth this weekend. But winger Reece Spee is expected to be fit
to face the recently-crowned EDF Energy National Trophy champions.
Spee missed the Newbury game because of an ankle injury sustained in the draw
at Coventry but he returned to training last night.
