Bees are set to recall centre Simon Martin for their National League One game
against Otley at Sharmans Cross Road on Saturday March 31 (3pm).
The former Bristol and Coventry player has spent the last three weeks on the replacements'
bench but he is expected to be named in the starting XV against Otley because
Dave Knight and Tristan Davies both have hamstring problems.
Knight sustained his injury in the warm-up before last Saturday's EDF Energy National
Trophy semi-final defeat at Exeter. Davies was promoted from the bench to the
starting line-up but was only 50 per cent fit and he limped off just before half-time.
Neither Knight nor Davies are expected to be fit enough to play any part against
Otley which means that Ben Harvey, Pertemps Bees' back coach, could have his first
involvement of the season. Harvey, a former England sevens international, retired
from playing at the end of last season but he remains registered as a player.
Flanker Dan Tuohy is also under consideration for his first start in almost three
months. The Ireland Under-21 international had his first outing since January
as a replacement at Exeter following his recovery from a knee injury.
