LINNETT BACK FOR NUNEATON TIE (February 15 2007)

LINNETT BACK FOR NUNEATON TIE (February 15 2007)
Former England prop Mark Linnett will again come out of retirement to help ease Pertemps Bees' front row problems for the EDF Energy National Trophy fifth round tie against Nuneaton at Sharmans Cross Road on Saturday February 17 (2pm).
The former Rugby, Moseley and Worcester player retired from senior rugby almost six years ago but still plays occasionally for West Midlands Police and Solihull's second team.
He was re-registered by Pertemps Bees last month because of their selection problems in the front row and came off the bench in the victory over Launceston in the last round of the Trophy.
With prop Casey Dunning and hooker Stewart Pearl injured and on-loan prop Neil Fowkes cup-tied having played for Nottingham in the last round of the Trophy, Pertemps Bees again faced front selection difficulties.
Linnett would have been unavailable had the Nuneaton tie gone ahead as planned last Saturday as he was away on holiday. But the postponement has helped Pertemps Bees a Linnett will be back from holiday and available for selection this weekend.
Linnett is likely to be named as a replacement with fellow prop Emyr Lewis. Lewis, who had a spell on loan at Nuneaton last season, is expected to provide cover for prop and hooker.
