TRIO TO MISS NUNEATON TROPHY TIE (February 5 2007)

TRIO TO MISS NUNEATON TROPHY TIE (February 5 2007)
Pertemps Bees will be without their three loan signings - Jon Goodridge, Rob Elloway and Neil Fowkes - for the EDF Energy National Trophy fifth round tie against Nuneaton at Sharmans Cross Road on Saturday February 10 (2pm).
Full-back Goodridge and hooker Elloway are both cup-tied having played for Gloucester in the EDF Energy Cup earlier in the season. Prop Fowkes, who is on loan from Nottingham, is also cup-tied having played for Nottingham in their fourth round victory in Trophy at Sedgley Park last month.
Former England prop Mark Linnett, who came out of retirement to help ease Pertemps Bees' front row problems in the previous round against Launceston, is also unavailable this weekend. Linnett is away on a skiing holiday which was booked before he resurrected his playing career.
But Pertemps Bees hope to welcome back prop Emyr Lewis, who had a spell on loan at Nuneaton last season. Lewis missed the league victory over Plymouth Albion last Saturday because of a sore back.
Lewis might also have to provide cover for Matt Miles, Pertemps Bees' only fit specialist hooker now since Stewart Pearl broke a hand in the defeat at Rotherham. Elloway was recruited on a short-term loan to plug the gap but Steve Williams, Pertemps Bees' head coach, is still seeking to bring in another hooker on a more permanent arrangement.
