HIGGINS SET TO MISS PLYMOUTH GAME (February 1 2007)

HIGGINS SET TO MISS PLYMOUTH GAME (February 1 2007)
Pertemps Bees are again likely to be without fly-half Jon Higgins for their National League One game against Plymouth Albion at Sharmans Cross Road on Saturday February 3 (2pm).
Higgins was a late withdrawal from last weekend's defeat by Rotherham Earth Titans because of a flu bug and he has not trained yet this week.
"Jon is struggling with sickness and he has missed all our sessions so far this week," said Steve Williams, Pertemps Bees' head coach.
"He's very doubtful for the Plymouth game although there is a chance that he will make the bench if his condition improves between now and then."
Higgins' expected absence means that Rod Petty, who was selected at scrum-half against Rotherham, will again deputise at fly-half.
England sevens flanker Will Matthews is also likely to miss the Plymouth game having suffered a recurrence of a hamstring injury in training this week.
Matthews returned to action at Rotherham after a two weeks lay-off but is now expected to be restricted to a place on the replacements' bench at best. Leo Halavatau is Matthews' likely replacement in the back-row.
Prop Emyr Lewis is also set to miss out against Plymouth because of a sore back but Matt Long is likely to return to the front row after three weeks out with a calf strain.
Hooker Rob Elloway, who has been signed on a short-term loan deal from Gloucester, is set to be named as a replacement. Elloway, who had a spell on loan at Pertemps Bees two years ago, has been recruited to deputise for Stewart Pearl who broke a hand at Rotherham.
